O açougueiro ficou impressionado e como já era mesmo hora de fechar o açougue, ele decidiu seguir o animal. O cachorro desceu a rua, quando chegou ao cruzamento deixou a bolsa no chão, pulou e apertou o botão para fechar o sinal, esperou pacientemente com o saco na boca até que o sinal fechasse e ele pudesse atravessar a rua. O açougueiro e o cão foram caminhando pela rua, até que o cão parou em uma casa e pôs as compras na calçada.
Então, voltou um pouco, correu e se atirou contra a porta. Tornou a fazer isso. Ninguém respondeu na casa. Então, o cachorro circundou a casa, pulou um muro baixo, foi até a janela e começou a bater com a cabeça no vidro várias vezes. Depois disso, caminhou de volta para a porta, e foi quando alguém abriu a porta e começou a bater no cachorro. O açougueiro correu até esta pessoa e o impediu, dizendo: por Deus do céu, o que você está fazendo? O seu cão é um gênio! A pessoa respondeu: – “Um gênio? Esta já é a segunda vez esta semana que este estúpido ESQUECE a chave”!!!’
